Beyond Atlantis (1973) Code: Oh man. This one here is without a doubt, a must see for all you bad movie buffs. A bunch of people (a pimp, scientist, scuba diver, ) from the mainland are in search of a mysterious island that contains extremely rare pearls off it's shores. However, they are in for a big surprise when they discover the island's inhabitants are descendants of nothing other than the mighty Atlantis. These Atlantians can stay underwater for long periods of time (and do pretty backflips), and have weird eyes that bug out. They look like someone cut up one of those cardboard egg holders and glued them on their eyes which, to tell you the truth, is exactly what I think they did. There also is a subplot about the islanders having to mate with outsiders to avoid inbreeding or something, though I am not sure, I never really put that one together. Actually, to be honest with you, the only real reason I rented this one is due to the fact the box said something like "witness bizarre fertility rites", so I was expecting to see some naked Atlantis chicks, all to no avail. Not one boob is shown the entire time. Anyway, the Atlantis folk fight our little pearl searching group, a couple people die, no boobs are shown, bad acting runs rampant, and the ending is laughable. I just sacrificed 90 minutes of my life so you can save 90 of yours. Your welcome.
