The Man Who Sued God (2001) DvDrip DivX "> Steve Myers (Billy Connolly), a lawyer who became a fisherman when he got fed-up with the legal system. When his one piece of property, his boat, is struck by lightning and destroyed his insurance claim is denied because it was "an act of God". He re-registers as a lawyer and sues the insurance company for fraud, and a few major churches using "trade" law, pointing out that they admittedly "sell" their "services" based on the claim that they are God's agents and/or representatives on earth. The accident and subsequent trial leads him to a friendship and eventual relationship with an unorthodox journalist, Anna Redmond (Judy Davis).
